The Bearded Dogg relaunched Spring 2019,

with talented local chef and new owner, John Richardson, at its helm.

John returned to his hometown, Gaylord, after a decade of traveling the US honing his culinary skills.

Jamie Sprong joined John as the General Manager and Lead Mixologist, and provides an array of exciting new cocktails, as well as her take on classic libations.


They focus on locally sourced produce, meats as well as liquor. They are working in conjunction with community farms, utilizing the existing garden on location, as well as John’s family farm, Winter’s Promise Farm, to provide the freshest menu items to the customers of the Bearded Dogg. For this reason, many menu items will rotate with the seasons.

Chef John has created an intriguing menu focusing on mainly European influenced dishes. From the first bite to the last, the customers will truly taste the care and finesse that John puts into every recipe.
